How Much Does Totango Cost? Full Pricing Breakdown (2026)

Last updated October 2026Also see: full Totango review

Quick answer

Totango does not publish a price for its customer success platform. Pricing is custom and quote-based, driven mainly by the number of customer accounts you manage, plus the named user licenses on your team and the modules you add. Third-party buyer data puts most contracts between ~$12,000 and ~$150,000+ a year, with a median near $66,150/year (estimate). In September 2026 Totango renamed itself Odie. The new Odie products publish starting prices: the Customer Knowledge Engine from $500/month and the Customer Operating System from $1,500/month, both on contracts of at least one year. There is no free plan.

How Totango pricing works

Totango uses an account-based model. Cost scales with the number of customer accounts you manage in the platform, not with how many end users log in to your product.

On top of that, every Totango user needs a named user license. Totango sells three license types:

  • Practitioner: Full platform access, for admins and daily users
  • Contributor: Limited access, for team members who manage accounts, tasks, and touchpoints
  • Viewer: Read-only access, for leaders who need visibility

Your quote also depends on your tier, the modules you turn on, and your contract term. Contracts are annual, and multi-year deals usually earn bigger discounts.

The new Odie products use a different model. The Customer Knowledge Engine is priced on knowledge maintenance (how many knowledge graphs Odie keeps up to date) and knowledge usage (MCP server access). The Customer Operating System is priced on portfolio size, how deep and often the AI analysis runs, and an "AI Success" pool of tokens or service hours. Odie says it uses no seat-based pricing on these products and never charges automatically for overages.

Odie says existing Totango and Catalyst customers keep the "same contract, same pricing, same product" after the rebrand.

Add-ons and additional costs

Totango does not publish an add-on price list. Based on available third-party information:

  • Implementation/onboarding: One-time fees reportedly run ~$10,000 to $50,000+ (estimate)
  • Premium integrations: Reportedly ~$5,000 to $15,000/year (estimate)
  • Premium support: Reportedly ~10 to 20% of annual contract value (estimate)
  • Renewal increases: Annual uplifts of ~5 to 10% are reported, often negotiable down to 3 to 5% (estimate)
  • Extra licensing: Totango notes that some Zoe (Slack assistant) features "may require additional licensing"
  • Internal admin time: Not a vendor fee, but reviewers report data syncing "still took hours every month" after setup

Exact add-on availability and pricing are not public and should be confirmed in a quote.

Example: what a typical deployment costs

Example A: small CS team (Starter, estimated):

  • ~800 customer accounts, a handful of CSMs;
  • Platform ~$12,000 to $18,000/year (estimate);
  • plus one-time onboarding of ~$10,000+ in year one (estimate)

Example B: mid-market CS team (Enterprise/Growth, estimated):

  • ~2,000 customer accounts and ~10 CSMs;
  • Platform ~$30,000 to $70,000/year (estimate);
  • add onboarding (~$10,000 to $50,000 one-time), plus any premium integrations or premium support;
  • likely year-one total roughly $45,000 to $120,000 (estimate)

Example C: enterprise portfolio (Premier/Enterprise Plus, estimated):

  • ~10,000+ customer accounts with complex hierarchies;
  • Platform ~$75,000 to $150,000+/year (estimate);
  • reported discounts of ~15 to 35% off list are common on multi-year deals (estimate)

Example D: AI-first team on Odie (published starting prices):

  • Customer Operating System at the starting price: $1,500 × 12 = $18,000/year minimum on a one-year term;
  • actual price rises with portfolio size and analysis depth

All Totango platform figures above are estimates based on third-party data and will vary by contract.

06

Free trial and free plan

There is no free plan. Capterra lists no free version and no free trial, and pricing requires a sales demo. One third-party profile mentions a 14-day trial, but this is not shown on the vendor's site. Odie's Customer Operating System includes a free AI testing pool for the first 60 days after activation, but that is part of a paid contract, not a free trial.
